Zebrasoma xanthurum, the Purple Tang is an awesome fish hailing from the Red Sea. They are usually only available in small quantities. This purplish blue and yellow beauty is about as easy to keep and as robust as other Zebrasoma species. It can be kept in aquariums of 650l and upwards - they are slightly more aggressive than Yellow Tangs (Zebrasoma flavescens), so groups should only be attempted in larger aquariums (1000l ) and it's best to introduce the whole group at once. They quickly feed on frozen food and will usually also accept pellets and other dry feeds after a while. Provide additional algae (Nori sheets, etc) for grazing
